The Route Operations & Vending Service Associate is responsible for servicing and managing assigned vending machine routes to deliver an exceptional customer and venue experience. This role owns replenishment, inventory accuracy, machine presentation, light field repairs, and day-to-day venue relationships.
Success in this role requires strong accountability, attention to detail, customer service, operational discipline, and a high degree of trustworthiness. This individual serves as the face of the business in the field and is responsible for maintaining machine uptime, inventory integrity, and positive client relationships.

This position supports customer locations and typically requires 35–45 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Work schedules generally fall between 6:00 AM and 4:00 PM with flexibility based on route assignments and customer requirements. Early morning starts may be required depending on route and location needs.

Responsibilities
Route Operations & Inventory Management
- Execute assigned service routes and maintain scheduled replenishment cadence across customer locations.
- Restock vending machines with the correct products and quantities based on inventory needs, sales performance, and established replenishment plans.
- Monitor stock levels to ensure product availability and minimize out-of-stock conditions.
- Enter and maintain accurate inventory, replenishment, pricing, and service records within the company’s management software.
- Transport and manage inventory efficiently between vending locations, warehouses, and storage areas.
- Conduct inventory verification and audits to maintain accuracy and reduce shrink.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned venues and maintain professional working relationships.
- Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company positively during all site visits.
- Communicate proactively regarding operational issues, requests, or improvement opportunities.
- Escalate recurring concerns or service disruptions appropriately.
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully operational vending machines and company vehicles at all times.
- Perform basic diagnostics and light mechanical repairs in the field, including replacing minor components and troubleshooting machine functionality.
- Coordinate escalation of complex repairs requiring additional technical support.
- Ensure machines align with approved product assortment, pricing, and planograms.
- Verify pricing updates and product placement match management system requirements.
- Maintain machine appearance and merchandising standards.
- Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with company policies and local regulations.
- Maintain accurate service logs and route documentation.
- Protect company inventory, assets, and customer property.
- Follow all company safety procedures and operational guidelines.
- Support emergency service and maintenance needs when required.

Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to meet company's driving eligibility requirements.
- Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) will be reviewed during hiring and monitored periodically (minimum quarterly) as a condition of continued eligibility.
- 2 years of experience in route operations, merchandising, delivery, vending, field service, retail operations, maintenance, or customer-facing environments preferred.
- Basic diagnostic and light mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Strong computer and mobile technology skills for inventory tracking and route management.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily service route.
- Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening, where permitted by law.
- Ability to maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
