Job Summary And Qualifications

• You will participate as an active administrative member of the Nursing Management Team and assume 24-hour responsibility in directing and coordinating safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective nursing care for patients on the assigned unit/department
• Your principle responsibilities will include strategic planning, service delivery, program development, evaluation and implementation, budget and resource management, cost control, contract compliance and quality improvement
• You will maintain current competency with nursing skills required for the assigned unit/ department, and demonstrate knowledge regarding Standards of Care and Standards of Practice in the assigned area
• You will remain calm in crisis and emergency situations, and direct staff members effectively and appropriately
  
  

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
• BSN Preferred, must be actively seeking within six months of hire
• MSN preferred
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada
• CPR, ACLS, NRP and PALS as appropriate for area
• CCN Strongly preferred
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role in an acute care hospital preferred
• Demonstrated experience in leadership/ management and establishing interpersonal relationships necessary
