This job requires the use of specialized power equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance checks on all equipment prior to use.
- Secure the work area and posts proper safety notices for other users of the space prior to beginning work.
- Floor care, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells.
- Vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting, and extracting carpets, stairwells and upholstery.
- Maintenance of floor care equipment.
- Wall cleaning.
- Dusting (high and low).
- Periodic cleaning of restrooms, offices, or classrooms (as assigned by supervisor).
- Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy.
- Prior floor tech experience in an institutional environment preferred.
