Responsibilities of an Assistant Director of Nursing:
- Work in conjunction with the center's DON to provide direction, coordination and evaluation of nursing care and services provided to residents and patients in a long-term care and skilled nursing / sub-acute care nursing center (all units).
- Plan, coordinate and manage nursing care, services and staff, ensure quality care is achieved and regulatory compliance is maintained.
Qualifications for an Assistant Director of Nursing:
- Associate degree in Nursing (ASN) or above required
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required.
- One (1 ) or more years of nursing experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing / sub-acute care setting required.
- Prior nursing leadership experience LTC / SNF preferred.
- Must be proficient in the use of a Personal Computer and possess the ability to navigate Windows and Microsoft Office programs, Internet-based Applications, and EMR Software.

Qualifications:
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS* Minimum of licensed Registered Nurse with experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing. Management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.* Proficient in the use of a personal computer.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESAssists the DON in the supervision of nursing staff and others for whom they are administratively or professionally responsible.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTMay occasionally be required to work non-standard hours. Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or fingers, reach with hands and arms, feel, see, talk and hear. Employee is occasionally exposed to blood or other body fluids, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
