Accountant II Responsibilities
The Accountant II will support financial operations and ensure the accuracy of accounting records and reporting processes.
Key Duties Include:
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with month-end and year-end close
- Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Analyze financial data and prepare variance reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Assist with audits and financial documentation
- Work collaboratively with operational leaders and finance teams
- Identify process improvements and increase accounting efficiency
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2 years of accounting experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Healthcare accounting experience
- Multi-site accounting experience
- Experience with ERP/accounting software systems
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: • Education required – BA College Degree• Experience with Great Plains and Management Reporter preferred • Three to five years experience in general ledger accounting• CPA, CMA or MBA a plus• Must pass the Background Check• Must be eighteen years of age or older with a valid driver’s license for travel
Required Qualifications: • Must have knowledge of acceptable accounting principle according to GAAP• Advanced computer skills including data manipulation within Excel spreadsheets• Ability to work independently yet be a team player• Excellent customer service and communication skills• Must be pro-active and have excellent problem solving skills• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and react accordingly to shifting priorities• Must be able to work the hours necessary to complete tasks as needed• Must be able to travel for company business (10%)
