Position: LPN Medical Services Coordinator or RN Medical Team Administrator
Location: Franklin County Jail – Louisburg, NC
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily operations of the medical unit

• Provide hands-on patient care while overseeing nursing workflows

• Support, mentor, and guide nursing staff to promote teamwork and clinical excellence

• Collaborate with providers to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans

• Advocate for patients while maintaining ethical and professional nursing standards

• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with facility, state, and SHP guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted LPN or RN license in the state of North Carolina

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (correctional, medical-surgical, emergency, or community health experience preferred)

• Demonstrated leadership ability or interest in advancing into a management role

• Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and decision-making skills

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with providers and nursing staff

• Commitment to ethical, compassionate care for underserved populations

Additional Requirements

• Ability to pass a drug screening and facility security clearance

• Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation standards

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a secure correctional healthcare environment
