Position: LPN Medical Services Coordinator or RN Medical Team Administrator
Location: Franklin County Jail – Louisburg, NC
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate daily operations of the medical unit

Provide hands-on patient care while overseeing nursing workflows

Support, mentor, and guide nursing staff to promote teamwork and clinical excellence

Collaborate with providers to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans

Advocate for patients while maintaining ethical and professional nursing standards

Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with facility, state, and SHP guidelines

Required Qualifications

Current, unrestricted LPN or RN license in the state of North Carolina
-
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (correctional, medical-surgical, emergency, or community health experience preferred)

Demonstrated leadership ability or interest in advancing into a management role

Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and decision-making skills

Ability to work independently while collaborating with providers and nursing staff
-
Commitment to ethical, compassionate care for underserved populations
Additional Requirements

Ability to pass a drug screening and facility security clearance

Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation standards

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a secure correctional healthcare environment
