Position Details
Location: Rockingham County Jail, North Carolina
Position: LPN or Paramedic β Night Shift
Schedule: 2/3/2 rotation (2 nights on, 3 nights off, 2 nights on)
Shift Hours: 7:00 PM β 7:30 AM
Status: Full Time
This is a working night shift position in a secure correctional healthcare environmentβdirect patient care is front and center, and every shift is a chance to make a real impact.

Qualifications
- Active LPN license in North Carolina or current Paramedic certification
- Prior experience in nursing or emergency care preferred
- Strong communication and assessment skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a night shift clinical team
- Comfortable working in a secure correctional environment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care throughout the night shift π
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and progress π
- Administer medications and treatments according to nursing or paramedic standards π
- Respond to emergencies and time-sensitive situations π¨
- Maintain compliance with State Scope of Practice, facility policies, and clinical guidelines
- Collaborate with providers and team members to ensure continuity of care π€
