About the Role
We’re seeking a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide hands-on patient care at the Alamance County Detention Center. This role combines meaningful clinical work with a structured, secure environment, giving you the opportunity to practice your nursing skills while maintaining a manageable schedule.
Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week, including rotating weekends
Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Key Responsibilities

Administer medications safely and accurately

Conduct patient assessments, monitor conditions, and respond to health concerns

Manage sick calls and follow treatment plans

Collaborate with the nursing and medical team to ensure continuity of care

Document patient care thoroughly and comply with facility protocols

Handle emergencies with professionalism and calm
Qualifications

Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in North Carolina

Prior nursing experience in acute care, long-term care, or correctional healthcare preferred

Strong clinical judgment and patient assessment skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team

Must pass a background check, drug screening, and facility security clearance

Excellent communication and documentation skills
