Are you an experienced provider looking to give back, supplement your current practice, or work with flexibility? Southern Health Partners is seeking a Medical Provider to join our correctional healthcare team at the Houston County Detention Center.
This isn’t a typical medical job — it’s a chance to provide oversight, guide a clinical team, and deliver essential care in just a few hours each week, with 24/7 on-call collaboration with the NP and medical team.
What You’ll Do
✅ Provide oversight and direction for on-site medical services delivered by full-time nursing staff
✅ Review charts, prescribe medications, and see patients as needed during your weekly visit
✅ Collaborate closely with the Nurse Practitioner and support the broader medical team
✅ Remain available to nursing staff for phone consults or clinical direction (limited, low volume)
✅ Ensure high-quality standards of care are upheld at all times

Who We’re Looking For
- Licensed MD or DO in the state of Georgia
- Background in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine preferred
- Able to pass facility security clearance
- Calm, team-oriented, and values structure, communication, and compassion
