Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner to join our advanced skincare and aesthetic medicine team. This role involves providing personalized aesthetic consultations, administering minimally invasive treatments such as dermal fillers and botulinum toxin injections, and ensuring exceptional patient care. The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with medical professionals to deliver safe, effective aesthetic solutions while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review and physical examinations, to determine suitability for aesthetic procedures.
- Administer aesthetic treatments such as dermal fillers, botulinum toxin injections, and esthetic laser treatments with precision and care.
- Educate patients on treatment options, expected outcomes, post-procedure care, and potential risks to ensure informed consent.
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with patient goals and medical safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation within EMR/EHR systems, including CPT coding and medical records management.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and sterile techniques during all procedures.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to develop new treatment protocols and stay current with advancements in aesthetic medicine.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions, professional development activities, and clinical research initiatives related to aesthetic treatments.
- Manage patient follow-up appointments to monitor progress and address any concerns or complications promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience administering injections such as dermal fillers and botulinum toxin treatments.
- Strong knowledge of dermatology, esthetic laser treatments, and skin physiology.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; proficiency in CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and medical documentation standards.
- Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and empathetically.
- Ability to perform clinical procedures including venipuncture, phlebotomy, catheterization, sterile processing techniques, and basic life support (BLS).
- Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice environments.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting such as outpatient clinics or teaching hospitals is preferred.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security.
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, aestheticians, and administrative staff to deliver comprehensive patient care.
