What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Security Associate position at Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and Careers?
- Assume overall responsibility for the safety and security of all employees, visitors, and designated areas.
- Patrol designated areas in accordance with outlined security procedures.
- Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly.
- Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents.
- Accurately enter, track, and update incidents within the company's case management system.
- Ensure all employees and visitors have proper credentials for accessing buildings (ID badges).
- Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly and according to policy.
- Assist employees and visitors with any concerns they might have.
- Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed.
- Monitor alarms and security cameras.
- Use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) to prepare reports, maintain logs, and communicate with internal departments.
- Regularly check and respond to communications via Outlook to ensure timely coordination with team members and leadership.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalency plus 1 year of experience.
- Basic computer knowledge with the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) for documentation, reporting, and communication.
- Familiarity with case management systems or the ability to learn and adapt to company-specific security software.
Physical Demands:
- Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine.
- Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.
- Additional hours may be required during October, November, and December, and other peak periods.
- May require working at heights of 8 feet or greater.
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 56lbs.
