Position Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for contacting existing customers in a predetermined universe to inform them about a product or service, answering questions about products or the company and asking questions to understand customer requirements and close sales.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Contact existing customers to inform them about a product or service
- Fully understand the Southern Glazer’s Beverage Company portfolio
- Ask questions to understand customer needs and close sales
- Build long term trust and relationships
- Enter and update customer information in company databases
- Take and process orders in an efficient and accurate manner
- Create and update activity reports with record of all calls and sales
- Identify customers’ needs, clarify information, research concern and provide solutions
- Contribute towards selling company initiatives
- Assist with ad-hoc company needs, as requested
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
2-5 years’ previous hospitality experience with direct knowledge of wine, spirits and beer required
The ideal candidate will possess patience, persistence and persuasiveness and excellent typing skills. Intermediate/Advanced-level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel. Must be detail-oriented, analytical and deadline-driven with the ability to work under pressure. Strong communication skills (oral, written) including the ability to summarize key findings and interact with individuals at all levels.
