We are a family-owned distribution and service business with over 40 years in business. While headquartered in Indianapolis, IN, this position will be based out of our Pittsburgh, PA office. This office covers the area of Western PA, Northern West Virginia and a small section of Maryland.

Duties

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of food service equipment including fryers, hot cases, ice cream, shake and frozen beverage machines.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems using specialized tools and techniques.
• Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs, provide recommendations, collect payment and ensure satisfaction.
• Adjust or replace worn or defective mechanisms, parts and reassemble repaired systems.
• Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inventory logs for all completed work.
• Assist with equipment assembly and delivery.
• Comply with all safety sanitation rules, regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a service technician specializing in appliance repair or food service equipment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; and familiarity with refrigeration systems is highly desirable.
• Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately.
• Previous experience in field service roles involving equipment repair and troubleshooting.
• Customer service skills with a professional approach to client interactions.
• EPA Universal Certification is a must.
• Working knowledge of brazing and soldiering for repairs.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently with ability to be flexible and work around a changing schedule.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills. Well organized.
• Valid driver's license with clean motor vehicle record.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
