Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Weld I to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of welding techniques, be eager to learn, and demonstrate strong attention to safety and quality. This position involves performing clean, structurally sound welds, assembling metal components, and following detailed instructions and blueprints, all while upholding company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform tack welding and basic welds on metal components according to specifications and blueprints.
Inspect welds for appearance and structural soundness; ensure compliance with company standards.
Work collaboratively with supervisors to set up and adjust weld machines as needed.
Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and part numbers with accuracy.
Use appropriate fixtures, tools, and welding consumables for each task.
Maintain proper use of PPE, including welding hoods, gloves, safety glasses, and appropriate weld hood shades.
Follow all company safety protocols and procedures.
Understand and apply basic welding terminology (e.g., square, flat, plumb).
Maintain an organized, clean, and hazard-free work environment.
Report equipment issues or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
Basic welding experience or completion of a technical welding program preferred.
Familiarity with MIG, TIG, or Stick welding processes a plus.
Ability to read blueprints and understand welding symbols.
Strong interest in welding and willingness to learn.
Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and reaching.
Salary : $16 - $21
