What You Will Do
As an Optometric Technician, you will be the first clinical point of contact for our patients. You will work closely with our optometrists to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Intake: Greet patients, record detailed medical histories, and verify current medications.
- Pre-Testing: Perform diagnostic tests including auto-refraction, visual acuity, tonometry, retinal imaging, visual fields, and OCT.
- Contact Lenses: Assist with contact lens fittings and conduct insertion and removal (I&R) training for new wearers.
- Room Maintenance: Sanitize and prepare examination rooms between patients and ensure all medical supplies are fully stocked.
- Administrative Support: Assist the front desk with scheduling, answering phones, and verifying insurance as needed.
What We Are Looking For
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in an optometry or medical office is highly preferred,but we are willing to train the right candidate!
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable learning and operating new clinical equipment and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- People Skills: Excellent communication skills with a friendly, compassionate, and patient demeanor.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
