What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Southern Dominion Health Systems, Inc?
Southern Dominion Health System, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician. Position will be primarily located in Victoria, Virginia, but will require frequent local travel. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills in determining appropriate repair methods, and the ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
Position requirements:
-General knowledge and demonstrated abilities in various areas of maintenance and facilities management, to include performing general repairs, painting, minor construction projects, minor mechanical/plumbing/electrical repairs.
-Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs, occasionally lift and carry up to 75 lbs, and push/pull/maneuver heavier items (i.e. furniture) using a dolly. Ability to sit/stand/bend/climb as needed.
-A valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required.
-Ability to read, understand, and manage contracts and service bids, and communicate with service providers.
-High school diploma, plus a minimum of 2 years related job experience.
