Role Description The Service Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Madison, AL. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing dock equipment and high-speed doors at customer locations. Day-to-day tasks include performing diagnostic troubleshooting, completing scheduled and emergency service calls, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. The Service Technician interacts with customers on-site, explains service work performed, and provides recommendations for maintenance or upgrades. The role also involves maintaining accurate service records, following safety protocols, and collaborating with the service team to meet customer and project timelines.
Qualifications
- Strong Maintenance & Repair skills for mechanical and electrical dock and door equipment.
- Effective Troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve equipment and system issues in the field.
- Field Service experience, including working at customer sites and managing service calls independently.
- Customer Service skills to communicate clearly, set expectations, and represent the company professionally.
- General Maintenance capabilities, including use of hand and power tools and adherence to safety practices.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for travel to job sites.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in industrial doors, docks, construction, or related trades is preferred.
- Reliability, strong problem-solving skills, and willingness to participate in ongoing training.
