Position Overview
Southern Development Management Company is seeking an experienced Regional Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of affordable housing communities. Affordable Housing Experience Required – LIHTC and Housing Authority PBV experience strongly preferred. This position will manage on-site teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee financial and operational performance of properties operating under Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and Project-Based Voucher (PBV) programs with the Columbia Housing Authority.
Responsibilities
- Oversee operations of multiple affordable housing communities
- Supervise and support on-site Property Managers and staff
- Ensure compliance with LIHTC, PBV, HUD, and Fair Housing regulations
- Review property financials, budgets, and operating performance
- Conduct regular property inspections and site visits
- Maintain strong occupancy and resident satisfaction
- Work closely with the Columbia Housing Authority and other regulatory agencies
- Assist with audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
Qualifications
- 5 years Regional Property Manager experience in multifamily housing
- Strong experience with LIHTC (Tax Credit) properties
- Travel is required
- Experience working with Project-Based Voucher (PBV) programs
- Knowledge of HUD regulations and affordable housing compliance
- Strong leadership, organizational, and financial management skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to properties
Preferred Certifications:
LIHTC, HCCP, C3P, COS, CAM, or CPM certification preferred.
