Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Property Manager to oversee the daily operations, financial performance, and resident relations for our apartment community. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage property operations efficiently while maintaining high resident satisfaction and occupancy levels
Duties
- Manage day-to-day operations of assigned properties, ensuring smooth functioning and tenant satisfaction
- Oversee leasing activities, including property showings, tenant screening, lease negotiations, and contract execution
- Utilize property management software such as Yardi and OneSite to maintain accurate data entry, rent collections, and financial reporting
- Coordinate property maintenance and facilities management to uphold safety standards and aesthetic appeal
- Handle conflict management between tenants or vendors professionally and efficiently
- Conduct regular inspections to monitor property conditions and oversee repairs or upgrades as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management, real estate administration, or related fields
- Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and legal administrative procedures
- Knowledge of both conventional and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) property management practices and compliance regulations
- Understanding of resident eligibility, income certifications, and applicable occupancy requirements for tax credit properties
- Proficiency with property management systems such as Yardi, OneSite, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships with tenants and vendors
- Effective negotiation skills for lease agreements, contracts, and upselling opportunities
- Office experience including data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and administrative support tasks
- Ability to manage conflict situations with professionalism and tact while maintaining positive resolutions
- Familiarity with property maintenance practices, facilities management, and health & safety standards
