Job Title: Weekend Merchandiser
Reports To: District Sales Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Classification: Part Time
Job Summary: This position works in conjunction with our sales team properly stocking and maintaining SCP products in backrooms, shelves, coolers, and displays in assigned accounts on the weekends.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for filling and properly facing all company brands and packages on cooler shelf and dry shelf and building displays.
- Using proper rotation techniques, remove any out-of-code or damaged packages from shelves or displays.
- Responsible to maintain back-room space and ensure accurate pricing of product.
- Follow the stores procedures to dispose of all empty cardboard cases and paper wrap.
- Re-pack product as necessary.
- Ensure point of contact material is adequately supplied and placed on shelves and displays.
- Establish and maintain a rapport with customers.
- Assist with cooler resets and comply with instruction from Sales Representatives.
- Responsible to communicate effectively and in a timely manner with District Sales Manager or Sales Representative regarding route adjustments, emergencies, extended hours or additional assignments.
- Maintain a timely schedule and manage your own time to ensure priorities are met in an efficient manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to meet work-load requirements within deadlines.
- Planning and organizing skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Availability to work a two-day schedule that includes early am starts and weekends.
- Possesses a valid driver's license in the state of residence while maintaining a good driving record.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Walking, standing, bending, lifting, and twisting frequently.
