Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, graders, and loaders, to perform construction tasks.
- Utilize Trimble GPS systems for accurate grading and excavation work.
- Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and specifications to execute tasks effectively.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures on job sites.
- Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, and crew members to achieve project goals.
- Maintain detailed logs and records of work completed for project tracking.
- Assist in supervising earth-moving operations to ensure efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
- Proficiency in using Trimble GPS systems for grading and excavation.
- Strong knowledge of construction site safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
- Valid drivers license (CDL preferred but not required).
- Physical ability to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy objects as needed.
- Experience supervising earth-moving operations is preferred.
- Certifications in heavy equipment operation are a plus.
- Experience in road construction and site development is advantageous.
- OSHA or MSHA safety training certification is preferred.
