As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in our construction projects, utilizing your expertise in operating heavy machinery and Trimble GPS systems to ensure precision and efficiency in grading and earthmoving tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, graders, and loaders, to perform construction tasks.
  • Utilize Trimble GPS systems for accurate grading and excavation work.
  • Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and specifications to execute tasks effectively.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures on job sites.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, and crew members to achieve project goals.
  • Maintain detailed logs and records of work completed for project tracking.
  • Assist in supervising earth-moving operations to ensure efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
  • Proficiency in using Trimble GPS systems for grading and excavation.
  • Strong knowledge of construction site safety protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
  • Valid drivers license (CDL preferred but not required).
  • Physical ability to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy objects as needed.
  • Experience supervising earth-moving operations is preferred.
  • Certifications in heavy equipment operation are a plus.
  • Experience in road construction and site development is advantageous.
  • OSHA or MSHA safety training certification is preferred.
