Southern Concrete Materials, Inc. is looking for an Outside Sales Representative for our Waynesville, North Carolina location. Responsibilities include selling ready mix concrete and construction materials within commercial and NCDOT markets, maintaining and developing customer relationships, researching and tracking upcoming projects, and collaborating with internal teams to support successful project execution. The role includes maintaining sales reports and forecasting work, participating in sales meetings, learning company software systems related to production and quality control, and developing knowledge of technical specifications and industry trends. Candidate will also conduct contract negotiations, support field operations as needed, and participate in local and industry events to strengthen market presence.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be a proactive, self-motivated, results-driven professional. Position requires strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage confidential information with discretion. Candidate must be comfortable working in both office and field environments, including driving for extended periods, navigating jobsites, and maintaining professionalism in high-pressure situations. Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends, and adhere to all company safety standards, ethics, and policies.
