Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Supervisor to oversee and coordinate construction projects from initiation to completion. This role is pivotal in ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to specifications. The Construction Supervisor will manage teams, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate smooth workflow and communication.
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 or other construction management software.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure accurate execution of work.
- Oversee budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation to optimize project efficiency.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets industry standards and client expectations.
- Manage procurement processes including construction estimating and bidding using HeavyBid or similar tools.
- Monitor project progress through site inspections, management reports, and schedule updates.
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations and other safety protocols; enforce safety policies among team members.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and troubleshooting on-site when necessary.
- Lead supervising teams by providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in managing large-scale projects.
- Demonstrated supervising experience on construction sites with a focus on pipeline or heavy civil projects preferred.
- Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, Primavera, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools.
- Strong knowledge of contracts, blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating techniques.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Ability to read technical schematics and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
- Excellent project scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining a focus on safety and quality standards.
