What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transmission Tech/Automotive Service Technician position at Southern Chevrolet?
Responsible for all aspects of transmission diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding and maintaining manual and automatic vehicle transmissions. Be able to troubleshoot, install, replace and repair transmission equipment and components.
Adhere to a "do it right the first time" philosophy and a successful EP Technician will not exceed two or more comebacks within a four-week period of time.
Expected to comply with policies and procedures, loss prevention, safety, and environmental codes and ordinances.
Passionately focus on customer needs, and drive the service center's performance with the highest degree of integrity and trust.
Expected to maintain technical capabilities to ensure proficient use of service equipment and maintain certification status.

Performs basic automotive services within the identified skills, knowledge and abilities for the position level as directed by the Store Management or their representatives.
Ensures a valid service work order has been created when performing service on a vehicle.
Ensures the service work order and any required forms/printouts are completed and returned to the service desk with the vehicle keys upon completion of the service.
