Medical Receptionist

Busy and growing OB/GYN practice in Rockwall, TX seeks a permanent, Full or Part-time Medical Receptionist to join our staff.

We are looking for someone with a great attitude and strong work ethic. We seek a team member who is very detail-oriented, strong at multi-tasking and dedicated to high-quality care delivery. This is a stellar opportunity with a well established practice in Rockwall.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Appointment scheduling and pre-visit planning
• Checking patients in for appointments, collecting co-pays, managing cash drawer
• Responding to requests for medical records
• Making and responding to patient emails, phone calls & messages
• Managing physician’s schedule, including surgeries, clinic, administrative meetings and meetings with industry representatives
• Collaborate with other practices to streamline patient care
• Performing insurance benefits and coordinating patient benefits
• Ensuring that the reception and patient care areas are well-kept and orderly

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent - desired, but not essential
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and telephone) with a friendly and professional demeanor - required
• On-going self-learning and improvement with self-directed task completion - required - required
• Dependability and commitment - required
• Ability to work well in a diverse team environment - required
• Reliable transportation and attendance – required
• Willing to be flexible in duties, including performance of medical assistance once trained - required
• Flexibility to work past scheduled shift times to accommodate excellent patient care - required
• Experience using Athena EHR - desired, but not essential
• OB/GYN office experience - desired, but not essential
• POSITION OFFERS:
• If Part-Time Position: Hours Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays 06:30 am - 3:30 pm
• If Full-Time Position: Hours Monday-Friday 06:30 am - 3:30 pm
• Pay rate $16/hour
