Southern Cancer Center is seeking a skilled PET Technologist to join our Daphne office. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment dedicated to excellence in patient care and imaging services.
Scope of Role
Under general supervision, you will perform PET imaging procedures and related functions, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging. You’ll collaborate with the Medical Director and management on technical issues, equipment performance, and quality assurance, while supporting SCC’s commitment to compliance and ethical standards.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Perform PET scan procedures, including radiopharmaceutical injection, protocol setup, image reconstruction, reporting, and archiving.
- Assist with scheduling and front office functions to maintain smooth workflow.
- Ensure accuracy of patient demographic information, report distribution, and patient files.
- Support clinical data collection for patient follow-up and educational initiatives.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an AMA-accredited program.
- 3–5 years of experience in nuclear medicine and/or PET imaging.
- CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) and/or ARRT (N) certification, plus applicable state licensure.
Physical & Work Environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist patients up to 300 lbs.
- Requires manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and extended periods of standing/sitting.
- Exposure to patients, blood, toxic substances, and ionizing radiation in a clinical setting.
