SoCal ROC is seeking a qualified and passionate instructor to teach our CDPH-approved Certified Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aide program. In this role, you will prepare students for entry-level careers in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, extended-care facilities, and in-home care settings. You will guide students through both the theoretical and hands-on clinical components of the program, helping them become eligible for state CNA certification and the California Home Health Aide certificate. Key Responsibilities • Deliver classroom instruction and supervise hands-on clinical training at a skilled nursing facility • Teach core curriculum topics including, but not limited to: • • Title XXII and OBRA regulations, including patient rights • • Vital signs, fluid intake and output, and specimen collection • • Fire/safety regulations, Universal/Standard Precautions • • Personal hygiene, body mechanics, nutrition, and activities of daily living • • Basic anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, and abbreviations • • Nursing process and communication skills • • In-home Care • Prepare students for the California state CNA exam and Home Health Aide certificate application • Develop and maintain lesson plans, instructional materials, and student assessments • Monitor and support individual student progress, providing guidance and intervention as needed • Maintain compliance with CDPH program standards and requirements • Foster a safe, respectful, and professional learning environment Required Qualifications • Current, active California Registered Nurse (RN) license and meets CDPH instructor eligibility requirements for CNA training programs • Practical experience in nursing, patient care, specifically one (1) year must be in providing care and services to chronically ill or elderly patients (long-term care facility or skilled nursing facility), AND one (1) year must be in providing direct patient care employed by a Home Health
