Full time Immigration Legal Administrative Assistant for Southern California Immigration project starting in November 2024
We are a nonprofit organization providing legal immigration services to survivors of human and civil rights violations.
Key responsibilities:
-Assist two immigration lawyers in the various secretarial and administrative support including the following:
-Answering phones/receptionist
-Physical and electronic file management and retention
-Calendaring/Schedule management
-Business correspondence management
-Drafting work permits for clients
Education and Experiences:
Ideally a paralegal certification or undergrad degree
Previous administrative assistance experience in a law office.
Strong MS office capability, ability to work in google docs, network content management
Comfortable working online with various legal systems and databases, experience with eImmigration is desired but not required
Previous experience in a legal office
Required Skills:
Excellent communication skills with non-English speakers
Planning and organizational skills
Attention to detail/accuracy
Computer savvy (able to quickly grasp new apps, programs, databases)
Able to handle sensitive/confidential information
Able to handle fast paced workload
Able to work independently
Job Type: Full-time
