Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of pools, including skimming debris, vacuuming, brushing walls and floors, and emptying skimmer baskets
- Conduct routine inspections of pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators to ensure proper operation
- Troubleshoot and repair pool equipment using hand tools and power tools to minimize downtime
- Maintain chemical balance by testing water pH levels and adding necessary chemicals to ensure safe swimming conditions
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on pool systems to extend equipment lifespan and improve performance
- Document all service activities accurately in logs or digital records for tracking purposes
- Communicate with clients about pool conditions, maintenance needs, and safety precautions
Requirements
- Proven experience as a pool cleaning or service technician with a strong understanding of pool maintenance procedures
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair pool equipment effectively
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic plumbing or electrical repairs related to pools
- Prior experience using service management software or record-keeping systems is a plus
- Ability to work independently outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; reliable transportation preferred
