Position: Operations Clerk - Deposit Charge-Off/Document Imaging
Reports To: Sr. Loan Systems Administrator
Indirectly Reports To: Senior Vice President/Credit Operations Manager
Reports To This position: None
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Role Summary:
This position is responsible for daily processing of charged-off deposit accounts, processing of deposit charge-off recoveries, daily and monthly balancing of related deposit charge-off general ledger accounts, and reporting of deposit charge-off accounts to appropriate agencies. Additional responsibility is imaging of loan and deposit documents.
Specific Job Functions (Duties/Responsibilities):

Daily processing of various charged-off accounts including, but not necessarily limited to:
- Automatically charged-off deposit accounts.
- Debit Card fraud.
- Operational charge-offs.
- Daily processing of recoveries related to charged-off deposit accounts.
- Daily and monthly balancing of all general ledger accounts associated with deposit charge-offs and recoveries.
- Weekly reporting of charged-off deposit account details to appropriate collection agency.
- Scanning and indexing of various documents into permanent document image storage system.
- Correction of image document types when incorrectly indexed.
- Maintain documented instructions for completion of daily responsibilities.

Assist with Loan Document Preparation including, but not necessarily limited to:
- Entry of new and modified loan request into documentation preparation system.
- Ensuring compliance with various lending regulations.
- Assisting branch lending personnel with documentation questions and corrections.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:
- Bank operations experience preferred
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping
- Knowledge of state and federal regulatory guidelines and constraints
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a broad base of internal and external individuals
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision, maintain strong time management and organization skills
- Maintain a professional and pleasant manner under pressure
- Ability to identify problems and resolve them in a proactive, timely manner
- Proactive teamwork and cooperation
- Strong PC skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office and Web based applications
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Certificate in bookkeeping preferred
- Three years of previous experience in banking/bank operations preferred
- Capable user of standard office equipment/software applications
