Role Summary:
The Communications Coordinator manages and facilitates marketing, communications, and social media strategies that align with our mission, goals, and values. This role requires excellent communication skills, vendor management, and a strong understanding of marketing trends, social media strategy, and strategic planning.
Specific Job Functions (Duties/Responsibilities):
- Communications Strategy Coordination: Works with the marketing leader to coordinate and implement comprehensive communications strategies aligned with the Bank’s goals and market opportunities. This includes incoming PR and communications needs and proactive internal and external tactics, including scripting videos, presentations, and speeches for Bank leadership.
- Brand Management: Maintains and enhances the Bank’s brand guidelines through consistent messaging, visual identity, and community engagement initiatives. Ensures all internally and externally created media fit within brand standards.
- Digital Marketing: Works with leadership to oversee digital marketing campaigns, including website management, email and social media budget strategy to drive customer acquisition and engagement.
- Manage Bank Social Media: Oversees the Bank’s social media accounts, creating metrics–driven calendars by channel. Creates trackable and purpose-driven posts while engaging with followers to develop and foster relationships and drive customer loyalty.
- Internal Communications: Oversees the strategy and management of our internal employee hub and creates requested content for recognition, news and product updates as they arise.
- Customer Insights and Product Strategy: Utilizes our agency, market research, customer feedback, and data analytics to identify customer needs, preferences, and trends to inform product marketing strategies.
- Agency Coordination and Internal Collaboration: Works closely with our marketing agency, sales and customer service teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives to support product launch and customer retention initiatives.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all marketing activities comply with banking regulations and internal policies. Prepare regular reports on marketing performance and present findings to senior management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:
- A confident communicator and presenter; excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, and publishing skills are essential, including the ability to present concepts verbally
- Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in communication and social media use
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to be strategic and tactical in day-to-day operations
- Develop and recommend short- and long-term plans to achieve profitability and growth goals
Education/Experience requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications or media studies
- Five (5) years of experience in financial services with a communication emphasis is a plus
