Job Title: Pie Baker
Position Summary
The Pie Baker is responsible for preparing, assembling, baking, and finishing high-quality pies using standardized pre-made mixes and established company recipes. This position ensures consistent product quality while maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and production standards in a fast-paced bakery environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Use pre-made mixes according to company recipes and specifications.
- Assemble pies according to company standards.
- Bake products using commercial ovens while monitoring baking times and temperatures.
- Decorate or finish pies as required.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet company quality standards.
- Maintain daily production schedule.
- Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and utensils throughout each shift.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines.
- Work cooperatively with team members to maintain efficient bakery operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous bakery, food production, restaurant, or commercial kitchen experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow written recipes, and standard operating procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product consistency.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive hand movements.
- Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures, including around hot ovens and cool storage areas.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
