What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Specialist III - School of Graduate Studies position at Southern Arkansas University?
Duties: Assist students in person and on the telephone with general graduate program information and admissions procedures; answer questions for departments on campus; manage Graduate Assistant processes; process and maintain budget and travel requisitions for the Graduate Dean, Staff, and Ed.D department faculty; collaborate with the International Admissions Office; answer telephone, scan documents and maintain files and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Formal equivalent of a high school diploma; one year of administrative experience and training; must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and outgoing office environment; experience with Microsoft Office applications; Experience with Jenzabar One (J1) or similar programs preferred; strong written and oral communication skills; All SAU faculty and staff demonstrate a commitment to the value of all members of the SAU community, to excellence in interpersonal behaviors, and effective collaboration with colleagues.
