Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy and tractor-trailer trucks to transport goods to various destinations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle systems and equipment such as tires, lights, brakes, and trailer connections.
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules while complying with all traffic regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any issues encountered during transport.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery times and address any delays or issues.
- Comply with company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal transportation regulations.
- Monitor vehicle condition and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service by demonstrating professionalism and courtesy at all times.
Qualifications
- At least 23 years of age.
- At least 2 years of verifiable experience out the past 5 years driving commercial vehicle.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A).
- No driving under the influence in the last 7 years (DUI/DWI).
- Must pass Federal Department of Transportation Road Test.
- Must pass Federal Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Test.
- Must pass Federal Department of Transportation Physical Requirements.
- Must pass job assessment test ( functional capacity test).
- Must practice good personal hygiene.
