About the Position: SAIL is seeking qualified internal candidates for the full-time Navigator position within the Health Benefit Exchange (HBE) Program. The Navigator is responsible for providing direct assistance to individuals and small businesses regarding health insurance needs and enrollment options. This includes delivering outreach, education, and enrollment services consistent with the training and requirements provided by the NYS Health Benefit Exchange.
Work Schedule & Travel Requirements: This position may require flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, based on agency needs and outreach events. A reliable, functioning vehicle is required for travel. The role involves occasional travel within Warren, Washington, Hamilton and Essex Counties.
We are seeking a motivated and community-oriented individual to join our team in promoting and providing health insurance enrollment services for individuals and businesses. This role involves conducting outreach and informational sessions to raise awareness of health insurance options, serving as a resource for both staff and consumers, and collaborating with community partners and human service organizations. The position also includes assisting with grant-related reporting and data collection, staying current on health insurance programs and application procedures, and maintaining accurate documentation. Additional responsibilities may include supporting department-wide tasks and projects as needed. Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least two years of experience providing person-centered, culturally competent services to low-income households. Experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or seniors is preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving skills, and computer literacy are essential.
