Food Bank Coordinator Responsibilities
Assist food bank clients with check in process ensuring client files contain required information (updated application, picture ID for head of household, income for all adults 18 years and older, proof of residence, Income Verification, Intake Referral Form, Case Notes, Arizona Self-Sufficiency Matrix)
Provide case management to food bank clients assisting them to reach self-sufficiency
Ensure case notes are in client files that received case management.
Ensure a respectful and welcoming environment for all clients.
Ensure confidentiality in all communications
Client data needs to be entered into the CAP60 database including client demographics, income, food bank attendance, and all client outcomes. Enter all services in CAP60 including case management, emergency assistance, diapers, etc.
Month End Reporting
Report Grocery Rescue Poundage's into Meal Connect by the 5th day of the month.
Utah Food Bank Report - Enter number of individuals served by the 10th of each month.
Month end folders should contain the following documents for Carbon, Emery, Green River and Grand County food banks (volunteer sign in sheets, temperature logs, USDA/TEFAP inventory, CSFP sign-in sheets, Grocery Rescue receipts, USDA/TEFAP sign in sheets, client sign in sheets.
Food Safety
Ensure all food handling and storage practices comply with local health and safety regulations
Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure cleanliness and compliance
Volunteer Supervision
Refer all interested volunteers to Community Engagement Director for interviews
Ensure all volunteers are signing in at the beginning of their volunteer shift and signing out at the end of their volunteer shift.
Warehouse Duties
Pick up Grocery Rescue from City Market and Maverik on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Schedule home deliveries and assist Warehouse Facilitator with home deliveries
Ensure that the food bank is kept clean at all times including:
- Warehouse floors are swept daily, and mopped weekly.
- All trash from warehouse is taken out daily including cardboard boxes
- Area outside of the food bank is cleaned of all debris, garbage, weeds, etc. Bathrooms are cleaned weekly (toilets, sink, mirrors, mop bathroom floors)
- The refrigerator, freezer, windows, and vestibule is cleaned weekly.
Warehouse Safety
Ensure safety procedures are followed in the food bank warehouse for all staff and volunteers. Hold daily stand up meetings to ensure staff and volunteers know their daily responsibilities.
Certifications
Food Handlers Certification, and Forklift Certification (can obtain after employment)
Must possess a valid driver's license free of alcohol or drug violations. Wage is $16.00 an hour.
This position is a non-benefited, hourly position and will not exceed 28 hours per week.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
