Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s department of Athletics invites applications for the position of Sports Information Assistant/Graphic/Video Design.

SUMMARY:

The Sports Information Assistant/Graphic/Video Design position will report to the Director of Athletics with responsibilities in the areas of Sports Communication and External Operations. Instruct and educate staff, coaches and student-athletes on processes related to creating posts, graphics and publications within the Department of Athletics. This position will oversee all of the Department of Athletics social media platforms and postings, creating graphics for gameday, video board and all Department publications, oversee rosters on GoSoutheastern website and highlight student-athlete and staff stories.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create unique content through various avenues that highlight student-athlete, coaches, and staff stories.

• Gatekeeper for all GoSoutheastern and affiliated programs’ social media content

• Aid and assist in revenue generating ideas with the director of athletics and external operations office

• Aid in marketing and promotion of all Southeastern athletic events.

• Assist the athletic director in special projects.

• Capture content to highlight all Southeastern athletic programs.

• Assist in gameday operations for home events

• Attend weekly external meetings

• Aid in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes by creating a unique opportunity for each program.

• Aid in the recruitment and manage student work staff.

• Handle Sports Information duties (roster management, schedule management, releases, and stats compilation) for assigned sports

• Manage video board access and production

• Provide strategic input into all design aspects for the athletics public relations and marketing departments to develop fan affinity

• Provides assistance and support for comprehensive graphic design projects (ie. Gameday Programs, recruiting materials.

• Other duties assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in photography/videography and editing is required.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is required.

• Proficiency in graphic design required.

• Knowledge of social media analytics and statistics preferred.

• Proven success in social media engagement and growth preferred.

• Experience with website content management systems is preferred

• Adherence to all applicable NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations is required.

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in related field. Proficient in mediums necessary to perform duties.

Preferred:

Master’s degree in related field. Experience working in Athletic Department.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The preferred start date is October 15, 2026. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until filled.
