Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, integrity-driven, and career-oriented Marine Sales Representative to drive growth across our marine product and service offerings.
This individual will focus on selling:
- Marine engines
- Marine generators
- Seakeeper gyro systems
- Seakeeper Ride systems
- Engine, Generator & Seakeeper Repower Projects
- Yacht management services
- Boatyard & Related Services
This role requires a proactive salesperson who consistently generates leads, develops relationships, manages a sales pipeline, and closes opportunities. The successful candidate understands that success comes from daily prospecting, follow-up, customer engagement, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities of Business Development & Sales
Generate new business through daily prospecting, networking, referrals.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct vessel visits and customer consultations.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and presentations.
- Negotiate and close sales opportunities.
- Manage sales opportunities from initial contact through project completion.
- Maintain consistent communication with prospects and customers throughout the sales cycle.
- Leverage CRM tools to manage pipeline activity, customer interactions, follow-up schedules, and sales forecasting.
Relationship Management
- Become a trusted advisor to vessel owners, captains, and marine professionals.
- Develop long-term customer relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.
- Maintain a strong presence throughout the local and regional marine community.
- Represent the company professionally at industry events, marina gatherings, customer meetings, and trade shows.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process.
Market Development
- Identify emerging market opportunities and industry trends.
- Develop strategic partnerships with our target base.
- Increase awareness of the company's products and service offerings throughout assigned territories.
- Continuously expand and strengthen a personal network within the marine industry.
QualificationsRequired Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of successful sales experience, preferably within the marine industry.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop opportunities, and consistently close business.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Experience managing a sales pipeline and customer relationships.
- Strong networking and business development skills.
- Alternatively, someone who has the experience in the marine industry that is coachable and highly interested in sales
Preferred Marine Industry Experience
Knowledge and familiarity with:
