HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Under the direction of the Director of Youth Services, the Instructor creates and implements age-appropriate skill trainings for participants that meet the YMCA mission and standards as well as character development values of Caring, Respect, Honesty, and Responsibility.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE:
  • Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes, as directed by the supervisor, to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals
  • Develop, implement, and supervise curriculum for a program which promotes the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth of participants
  • Effectively communicate with parents on participant’s skills and character. Maintains working knowledge of program and trends to provide effective information and support to members
  • Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information
  • Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of and participation in program
  • Other Duties: Assigned as necessary by the Director of Youth Services and CEO.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Group Exercise or Fitness related certification required
  • 1 month of Program specific experience required
  • Required certifications: Adult amp; Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid, obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained throughout employment
