What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant-Part time position at Southeastern Indiana Independant Living Center?
The incumbent of this position is responsibly administering administrative/clerical duties for the Independent Living Center. The incumbent is also for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for consumers, which includes the following duties:

Administrative Assistant - Reports directly to Program Director
Provides tasks which include:
· Operate all office equipment including computers, copiers, printers, duplicator, and other equipment.
· Clerical duties such as filing and organizing.
· Reception duties such as answering the telephone, taking messages, greeting people and providing resource information when applicable.
· Retrieving/delivering office mail at the beginning and ending of each business day.
· Performing accounts payable/receivable for the Independent Living Center.
· Assist Executive Director with daily operation of office.
· Coordinate/attend Independent Living functions such as health fairs, Community Awareness functions such as local festivals and fairs.
· Complete proper documentation/follow up for Independent Living Center’s consumers including all Information Referrals.
· Recruit new consumers, conduct consumer satisfaction reviews, reports, etc.
· Collect data for all new consumers including completing proper documentation for each to open a file and enter information into system for proper compliance with procedures and regulations.
· Keep office, break room, and restrooms clean, organized, and neat.
· Assist with sending correspondence such as required mailing to different counties.
· Professionally present to community member’s information promoting programs & services the Center provides.
· Complete forms and keep accurate records.
· Other administrative duties including providing assistance to the general function of the office.

Ability to communicate courteously, effectively, and professionally with clients, outside contacts, and all levels of employees.
Ability to compose clear, concise, and accurate reports.
Must be able to identify and quickly respond to potential problems and/or conflicts and react accordingly.
Ability to effectively and efficiently move throughout all work areas.
Must be able to safeguard extremely confidential information
