Principle Mission Engineer
Overview
SCCI is seeking a skilled Principle Systems Engineer to join our team! In this position, you will provide technical expertise and engineering development support for a Combat Systems Engineering contract. This position may require occasional travel and is in support of future work expected in 2027. This position is located in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise and engineering development support
- Coordinating development activities for engineering systems and capabilities
- Conducting detailed and complex system engineering independently, including experience in functional and system level requirements analysis, requirements generation, and technical review
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an Active Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years experience in at least one of the following:
- Combat Systems Cyber Security
- Ships Self Defense System
- Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) class
- Aegis Integrated Combat Systems
- DDG-1000 Zumwalt class destroyer
- Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense
- Weapon/Sensor Combat Systems
- Must have experience in Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirement System (DOORS) or DOORS Next system
- Extensive experience in developing Functional Area Assessment (FAA) and working with Mission Area Assessments (MAA) in relation to engineering tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
