This role involves instruction, curriculum delivery, and hands-on lab facilitation in a face-to-face learning environment.
The instructor will deliver flexible, high-impact training to adult learners, focusing on the practical application of skills and real-world workplace relevance. Instruction will cover key areas such as mechanical systems, machine repair, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance, and workplace safety – ensuring alignment with current industry standards. Training may be conducted on campus or on-site at employer locations, depending on the needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach assigned non-credit courses in industrial maintenance and safety.
- Deliver instruction through lectures, demonstrations, and lab activities.
- Provide hands-on training in safety, electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
- Monitor and assess student progress and provide regular feedback.
- Maintain classroom and lab equipment in good working condition.
- Stay up to date with advancements in the industrial maintenance field.
- Contribute to curriculum improvement and training material updates as needed.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Schedule will vary based on course assignments and program needs.
- Evening and daytime classes may be available.
- Compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Adjunct teaching contracts are subject to cancellation due to low student enrollment.

Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, and or 3 years (6000) hours of recent and relevant work experience.
- Professional experience in machine repair, preventive maintenance, mechanical and electrical systems, and PLC programming.
- Relevant industry certifications are highly preferred.
- Prior teaching or training experience in a vocational or technical setting is a plus.
- Strong communication, instructional, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to student success and continuous improvement in teaching practices.
- Familiarity with instructional technology and tools.
