JOB TITLE: Equip Network Specialist

DEPARTMENT: The Equip Network

DIVISION: Academic

SUPERVISOR: Equip Network Coordinator

• PURPOSE OF THE JOB (What are the end results or objectives of this position? Why does the job exist?) To provide administrative assistance to The Equip Network.
• ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (What duties are required for the position to exist?)
  • Answer initial inquiries and send appropriate information to potential Equip and Mentored Internship participants.
  • Process, maintain, and ensure accuracy of registration applications
  • Maintain CampusNet pages in collaboration with the Equip Network Coordinator
  • Serve as a liaison between the Equip Office, the student body, and the churches or other organizations in maintaining partnerships.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with current Equip and Mentored Internship participant liaisons.
  • Develop and update Equip and Mentored Internship materials, including promotional materials and means in conjunction with our Communications Dept. as needed.
  • Basic management of Equip promotional events in collaboration with the Associate Director
• OTHER DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES (Responsibilities/important duties performed occasionally or in addition to the essential duties of the position.)
  • Maintain appropriate files, manuals, reports, and information for student records and accreditation purposes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Associate Director, or Equip Network Coordinator.
• SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (Provide the number and type of employees supervised, level of authority to hire and fire or to make recommendations.)

  • Strong motivation to serve students, partners, faculty and various departments of academic support, and other personnel.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow through with assigned tasks.
  • Ability to develop process ideas with guidance and then execute agreed upon programs.Expert working knowledge concerning The Equip Network.
  • High competency in computer and telephone skills.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Competency with CampusNet.
  • Competency with course management systems, academic management systems, and inventory systems.
• EXTENT OF PUBLIC CONTACT (Within and outside the Seminary)
  • Contact with Equip partner churches and applicants, mentors, practicum instructors, and organizations.
  • Work and communicate with Accounting Services Office, Registrar Office, AVPGTI Office, Distance Learning Office, Student Development, Faculty and Staff, etc.
