- PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- Assist in House System staff management and programming development. Oversee discipleship group management, and be a catalyst for evangelism and discipleship. Provide oversight of all House System policies and checklists and assist in other House System areas so that Judson College students can serve the church and fulfill the Great Commission.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with House System Staff Management:
- Lead in a way that fosters growth in House System Staff
- Oversee and develop Position Specific Development.
- Assist in the hiring and termination of House Leadership when necessary
- Assist with House System Program Development:
- Assist with logistics for all House System Wide Events
- Build all events towards their determined “why” and main objectives
- Ensure all logistics for event are properly executed
- Assist in coaching for all House Specific Events
- Assist with initiatives of adding Houses to the House System
- Assist in future College Life Initiatives
- Counsel students regarding academic, social, personal, and spiritual concerns
- Provide support for conflict management and crisis situations
- Assist HS&D Supervisor with fiscal responsibilities
- Assist in general management of House System as directed by the Director of College Life and the HS&D Supervisor
- Discipleship Group Management
- The coordination and implementation of Judson College Discipleship Groups
- Logistical oversite of weekly Mentor Meetings
- Continued development of Discipleship Group Curriculum
- Management of Discipleship Group Completions (pass/fail)
- Catalysts for Evangelism and Discipleship:
- Exhibit consistent evangelism and discipleship practices
- Regularly display evangelism and discipleship practices to students
- Assist in “Summer Go” and “Going Friday” initiatives
- House System Policy and Checklist Upkeep and Management:
- Adequately ensure upkeep of all Policy and Checklist changes
- Development and upkeep of House System Manual
- Serve as first draft Policy and Checklist writer.
- Oversite of other House System and Discipleship areas:
- Student Disciplinary Cases (managed by Dean of Students and CL Director)
- Facilities Management (Managed by AHS&D Supervisor)
- Accreditation Management (Managed by AHS&D Supervisor)
- Time Commitments:
- Must be willing to be “on-call” in case of emergency
- Participate in weekly staff meetings with the College Life Office
- Attend and participate in House Leader Training
- Participate in Student Life activities as directed by the Director of College Life
- OTHER DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the College Life Office with campus-wide programming
- Serve as a resource agent and refer residents to appropriate departments or offices based on their need
- Abide by all SEBTS policies and regulations
- The Assistant House System & Discipleship Coordinator will occasionally be asked by the Office of College Life to perform other duties not listed in this job description

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications preferred
- Completion of undergraduate education
- Previous experience in Discipleship Ministry, Residence Life, or Housing preferred
- Is required to serve for an entire academic year
- FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
- Will assist with oversite of the House System & Discipleship budget
- Make purchases for House System & Discipleship program
- Will assist with reconcilement of receipts for House System & Discipleship program
- EXTENT OF PUBLIC CONTACT
- Frequent contact with seminary staff, faculty, and students
- Frequent contact with prospective/new students
- Some contact with those outside of the seminary
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- General health is required for the demands of job
- WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT
- Must be comfortable working in a campus housing environment
- Late hours are normal when working with undergraduate students
- Must be willing to live in campus housing or in close proximity to the campus in the case of after-hours needs
- Ability to take classes at the institution with prior scheduling approval by the Director of College Life.
