Southeast Window Coverings is a commercial window covering contractor working with general contractors, developers, and design teams across Northeast Florida. We specialize in blinds, shades, and motorized systems for commercial and institutional projects. Position Overview

We are hiring a Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager to support and manage commercial construction projects from award through closeout. You will work directly with ownership and be involved in:

  • Project coordination
  • Scheduling
  • Submittals and material orders
  • Communication with general contractors

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track multiple commercial projects
  • Review construction drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Manage submittals, approvals, and material procurement
  • Communicate with general contractors, superintendents, and vendors
  • Schedule field measurements, deliveries, and installations
  • Track project timelines and follow up on open items
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation
  • Assist with punch lists and project closeout
  • Travel, after hours work and weekend work may be required

Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Detail-oriented and reliable
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background screening in compliance with the Jessica Lunsford Act (Level 2 background check required for work in school environments)

Preferred:

  • A BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field is the minimum formal education required for this position. A combination of equivalent work experience and training in the field may be qualifying.
  • Two (2) or more years work experience in the construction industry or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.) required.
  • CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications required. Training can/will be provided.
  • Experience in construction, project coordination, or subcontractor environment
  • Ability to read construction drawings or willingness to learn
  • Experience working with general contractors or jobsite teams

Compensation

  • $50,000 – $70,000 salary (based on experience)
  • Performance-based quarterly bonus opportunities
  • Paid time off (2 weeks / year after 6 months)
  • 401 (K) Matching - after 6 months
  • Health Insurance - after 6 months
