Heavy Equipment Operator

Southeast Utility Contractors, Inc. is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team in the Triangle area. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment and machinery, with a focus on underground water, sewer, and storm drain installation.

*Responsibilities*

- Operate and maintain various types of heavy equipment, such as mainline excavators, front-end loaders, and various other equipment as needed.

- Perform tasks including digging mainline trench for Water, Sewer, and Storm Drain, setting pipe, setting structures, unloading, loading, and lifting on various construction sites.

- Ensure equipment is operated safely and efficiently at all times.

- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.

- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery.

*Experience*

- 2 to 5 years of previous experience in Water, Sewer, and Underground Utility Construction and installation.

- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.

- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety.

- Ability to operate a variety of equipment efficiently and safely.

- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members on-site.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
