Job Description
The Data Analyst will work with the Data Capabilities Manager to provide guidance and support related to data talent and self-service data and analytics tools. They will provide training, documentation, best practices and templates to aid analysts in developing data visualizations, dashboards, and reports. The Data Analyst will work with the data analysts across the various departments to create and maintain documentation of the critical data elements and KPIs for SET. This Analyst will also be responsible for conducting data analysis activities and developing reports or dashboards. This Analyst will liaise with the analysts within the different departments across SET, with IT and with the data teams in the other business units.
• Support business associates by providing training, best practices, templates and guidance to leverage data to answer next level business questions• Create documentation, best practices and templates to aid business users in developing data visualizations, dashboards and reports• Provide direct support for specific questions relating to visualization platforms• Develop documentation for conducting data analysis activities including how to access data, where to find relevant data definitions and KPIs and how to join data sets together to begin to identify trends• Conduct complex data analysis activities and work with BI engineer to create cross department dashboards and analytic products• Evaluates information gathered from multiple sources utilizing advanced analytical skills, translating needs into reporting requirements• Leads and executes efforts to identify, prioritize and manage the movement of data into various reporting platforms, enabling access by end users• Provides data consultative service to support projects and department specific questions• Educates business associates on data models, metadata and standards• Guides and mentors data analysts• Conducts Data Discovery efforts• Collaborates with Departments and IT to establish data strategy vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs• Translate requirements into technical reporting solutions, create mockups and prototypes
