Job Summary:
This grant-funded position supports the design, implementation, and management of strategic initiatives that advance workforce development priorities in the local area. The role focuses on managing contracts with employers and non-federal funding partners, supporting sector strategy initiatives, and translating grant guidance into effective local implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate special projects aligned with workforce board priorities, including tracking timelines, deliverables, outcomes, and maintaining organized project records
- Develop, execute, and monitor contracts, MOUs, and agreements with employers and non-federal partners, ensuring proper documentation, performance tracking, and compliance
- Track project budgets and expenditures across multiple funding sources; support budget development, monitor spending, and coordinate with fiscal staff on invoicing, reimbursement, and documentation
- Review grant guidance and funding requirements to determine allowable activities and ensure projects align with funding rules, local policies, and performance expectations
- Translate funding opportunities and identified needs into actionable programs and services; support implementation from concept through execution
- Identify gaps in services or systems and develop practical, solution-oriented approaches to address them
- Coordinate sector-based initiatives and employer partnerships, helping design and implement workforce solutions that meet industry needs
- Serve as a primary point of contact for partners, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring clear communication and follow-up
- Prepare reports, summaries, and updates for leadership, ensuring timely follow-up on tasks, partner requests, and deliverables
- Support continuous improvement by identifying process efficiencies and opportunities to strengthen partnerships and resource alignment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience and Education:
Candidates who demonstrate a combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the functions of the role will be considered. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, along with at least three years of experience working in grant-funded programs, workforce development, or public sector initiatives. Experience managing contracts, agreements, or partnerships. Basic understanding of budgeting and fiscal tracking.
Language Skills:
Ability to interpret and apply regulations and related guidance with clarity and precision. Skilled in written and verbal communication, including the ability to deliver training, document processes, write performance summaries, and represent the program professionally in partner and stakeholder settings.
Reasoning Ability:
Strong critical thinking and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and adapt quickly to evolving program needs. Able to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to improve service quality and compliance.
Technology/Data:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM applications. Comfortable using data dashboards and cloud-based tools for team communication, performance tracking, and documentation. Proficient in using workforce data systems to track performance, monitor case progress, and ensure compliance with federal and state benchmarks. Able to translate performance data into actionable strategies for improvement and report findings to leadership.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
