What you’ll do:
· Observe, report, and assist in recording changes in the physical condition, behavioral response, and emotional status of clients, as well as reporting any form of abuse/neglect.
· Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for client care and treatment activities.
· Administer medication after completing training that is provided by the agency . Only required if assigned to work with an individual of whom requires medications given to them.
· Transport clients to any appointments
· Assist clients in participating in activities which can vary (fishing, shopping, going to the movies, out to eat etc.)
· Most importantly provide protective oversight, advocate on their half when needed. Be a positive role model and demonstrate positive/professional behavior at all times.
All you need for success:
Minimum Qualifications
· Must be 18 years old. One or more years of work experience with either individuals with developmental disability, or providing personal care.
· Possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
· Must also possess a valid driver's license.
· Pass a background screening
· Ability to learn how to properly administer medications if needed.
· Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for our individuals.
· Understand and follow directions.
· Accurately report and record observations.
· Accept and adapt to changes in assignments, methods, and policies.
· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals, fellow staff, supervisors, and the general public.
· Exercise good judgment and discretion in the performance of job duties.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.25 per hour starting rate for first 90 days. Higher pay is negotiable for certain certification holders . Which will be discussed during interview process.
