What are the responsibilities and job description for the Moving Equipment - Delivery and Pick Up position at Southeast Scientific Repair, Inc.?
Description
- Assist in picking up and delivering customer's equipment to our shop for repair
- Learn to safely operate company owned box truck for local truck runs
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery and pick-up of equipment
- Safely load and unload customer units using appropriate equipment
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating vehicles on public roads
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and other relevant information
- Uncrate laboratory freezers and refrigerators and test run units prior to delivery
- Assist in general warehouse cleaning and maintenance
Experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents in the past [5] years
- Familiarity with local roads and routes in the area
- Ability to work well with co-workers
The successful candidate needs to be comfortable utilizing laptops and tablets and have good verbal and written skills. A clean MVR and DOT physical are requirements for this position. The candidate must be able to pass a background check, pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screening.
